A real blog after a long.... time, but had to write this one! This was by par the best day of my life! ( touchwood!)The year b4 was kinda sad... and I was more than depressed bout the way things were then...I was so expecting this year was gona be the same, considering some things that happened the day b4…. I felt like sumone ran an army tank on my heart or sumthing plus i was horribly screwed at work!!! I actually visualized my TL shooting me with a bozooka for a minute. But still... This day made me forget everything... :)
The day began with a call from a very unexpected person… he doesn’t call dat much u know… it was nice to catchup with him after such a long time, n more so it was nice to know he cared… Wishes from my Family…. Followed by a silly fight with someone who dint care to wish me on time! I hate this time zone shit! More calls and msgs from people at work, undergrad buddies, etc… The highlight of the day was a call from Anu! Considering she never calls anyone, and above all she said she was gona come down from Pune just to meet me, Coz its my budday! It can’t get better than this I said to myself….After I was done with the calls n msgs, I got another bummer…. My bro , who never talks to me… got me a cake! Guess my b’day does some magical things to people… J I went to bed with the biggest smile on my face and I was still cursing this stupid time zone shit!
The next morning started with …………………. BEING LATE! I was so caught up in dressing up, I dint realize time was ticking… Still managed to make it just on time, Thanks to Rickman!!! (Trust me these rickshawala’s are nothing less than superhero’s for u when u r late!)…. Reached work…Everyone on floor wished me. Some cared ,some pretended…but wot the heck! I checked my mail, n I had like 50+ mails from ppl I duno, wishing me(not dat I am so famous, its because of the intranet site) it was nice … The day went by with calls pouring in from ppl in this city, state, country, a few seas away and FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE PACIFIC OCEAN! It was awesome! The day at work ended with a very sweet surprise from my Ex-TL. She is the sweetest thing on this planet I tell u! No one at works cares if its ur b’day ,u r dead or alive… people r too self-centered or plain busy for it actually… it was nice that she arranged for a cake n gathered the entire floor to be a part of the celebration. It was sweet, more reasons to smile …
I met Tiku after this, it was great to see him after soooooo long… n I got a hug from him :D, for ppl who know Tiku…. They kno it’s a BIG DEAL! Had a Tikuish time with him, he is just amazing…Went for lunch with a very dear colleague… Then I met my cousin Archana for the real celebration!(evil grin) Went to this really nice restaurant and got drunk as hell! Smirnoff rocks! Got a call from Bhavya, n we flirted a bit.... Again ,Bhavya never Flirts! It was a very sweet conversation, I have a feeling I shud do it more often..hehehe. My b'day has a magical effect on pplam convinced now! Now u know y I kept sayin this is the best b’day ever! I cursed time zone a million times when I got drunk, again… Had a nice talk with my cousin. We cribbed bout life, the lack of good guys, work and getting FAT...
I was late for home again; n it was Rickman to the rescue! The day summed up with dinner and a very awesome gift from my dad! I love him so much, I can’t tell u… I just had this smile intact on my face through out the day….Have u ever imagined a perfect day? Well for me this day was one of em…. I love B’days! :) whoever said it was about getting old... Cheers to one more year of Life, Love, Happiness and Smirnoff! God Bless...
